The US's antipathy to socialised health care springs to mind, or less recently the Holocaust.
    Now there's a comparison!

I think that people have the right to make their own choices up until they start to harm others - this includes refusing treatment when their children have treatable but otherwise fatal diseases.
Interesting. Some choices apparently are wrong.

This is a revelation to you? Were you previously of the opinion that we should abolish all laws in an effort to respect everybody's opinions?

Does Canada force the parents of Jehovah's Witnesses to allow their children to get chemotherapy for cancer?

If I ever meet a JW in the supermarket, I'll call him a faithless wretch for buying more food all the time instead of getting five loaves and two fish and repeatedly asking God to multiply them.

You'd think Ben of all people would reject relativism, given that it's incompatible with religion.

I'm not quite sure how you interpret the comparison between abortion and leaving infants to die as morally reprehensible would constitute relativism.
