I agree that women may not like cat calls, perverted come ons and other stalkerish behavior but the idea that I am not supposed to check a woman out or that a woman does not like being admired(checked out) is insane to me.
I believe it's human nature for a woman to want a man to be bold enough to approach her. I think that these women would not mind if a guy they found attractive approached and made conversation and of course the ultimate goal of that conversation leads to the bedroom and perhaps beyond.
Expecting a man to not look at women is tantamount to sexual sterilization.
Also, just assume women are not sexually interested in you and are lesbians until proven otherwise. It'll save you a lot of wasted effort and spare the women your personality.

Anyone that says they don't is in all likelihood a liar.

There is definitely a distinction between noticing and leering - at least among normal people.

Note that the OP said "stare." Staring in general is usually rude, and is taken as a sign of hostility by most social animals. Please don't stare.

Also, I think the basis of any thought where "Human Nature" is invoked should be dismissed. Personal insights into how you think the world works is probably wrong.

I knew that someone would say something like "are you stupid" and etc...I was expecting that. I mean how else could you reply to another persons opinion.
My answer is that a man checking a woman out is a manifestation of his desire. If he is bold enough, he will make an approach. I am bold enough, so I very rarely have an issue meeting and dating women. When I am dating someone I am a gentleman, I am kind and I am courteous. I am also sexual and I find that women like a man that makes the first move.
Most of the women I have dated would describe me in a positive manner.
