    The country is called Argentina
Argentina went bankrupt. Now they are Argenchilea. Didn't you hear? They had to sell their name.

Your bizarre nicknames make even less sense.

What makes me chuckle a bit, is that most of this is backlash from the 70s-90s where the economy was heavily liberalized under heavy pressure from, mainly, the US, to the point of a huge crisis.

Then again, we can't manage a country even half decently.

Kirchner was relatively OK. I mean, a lot of things he did were seriously questionable, but at least he was somewhat effective. His wife just turned everything up to 11, nosedived the country towards the ground, vainglories how fast we are going, and disses everyone who is pointing out the approaching ground as antidemocratic fascists.

Liberalization of the economy isn't what caused hyperinflation. In any case, what the hell is it with South American countries and electing the wives of former presidents?

Considering Hillary Clinton is running here it remains up in the air whether we will have ground to stand on with that criticism.

I love how Hillary Clinton's touted "experience" is being the cuckqueen wife of a former president and senator for less than two terms. Her leadership of Bill's legislative agenda resulted in a historic Congressional wave election which put Republicans in control of the House for the first time in 40 years. As secretary of state she managed to accomplish the "Russian Reset" and getting our consulate staff killed in Libya. What a shining example of competence in government.

I would love to see anyone but Hillary win the Democratic nomination but the reality is the US political system has degenerated into something just a few rich and powerful families can usually dominate. I do know I won't vote for her even if I have to vote for some throw away candidate from the green party or something. Not that there is any question about her not winning my state.

She's been an excellent Sec State, which is why her approvals climbed so impressively.

Her tenure as SecState was a ****ing dumpster fire. Did you miss the part about "Russian Reset?" Everything she did as Secretary of State was a mistake. And her popularity was pretty low for people in her position. Colin Powell left the job with higher approval ratings than her, and he's not President. Even Condoleeza Rice had ~55-60% approval ratings at the end of the Bush administration.

Regardless of her approval then, she has no ability to run on her legacy as SecState. Russia's anschluss of Crimea and the destruction of the consulate in Benghazi are going to haunt her until the end of her political days. And there's not any particular success she can point to either.

I wanna see Drake Tungsten come back and repeat the line he gave me about Clinton being a brilliant SecState and Obama's foreign policy being superb

Looks pretty stupid in hindsight doesn't it? Then again it looked stupid at the time, too.

Was worth the try. If it hadn't been tried more people could have trying to excuse Russia behaviour on Western enmity.

I don't get why Ben is trying to claim Chile is the same as Argentina especially since Chile is financially very stable.
