Generally, the economic left/right paradigm is a measurement of state intervention in the economy. What's sad is that you have a political science degree and should know this. But in your defense, your 100-level classes where, what, almost 15 years ago?To us, it is the BEAST.

I'm more of a capitalist than anything else... progressive taxation... regulate big business... encourage small business.
On day one of the Sava presidency/dictatorship, the size of government would shrink dramatically. The overall budget (of the US) would be slashed. Most of it being defense spending cuts. I'd also end the drug war. I'm for open borders, the free flow of labor across international boundaries.
Socially? Yes, I'm a solid liberal (or anti-authoritarian). If you aren't harming anyone, get the government out of people's lives.
Modern political jargon has been bastardized to such an extent that "socialist" and "fascist" mean the same thing, in certain circles. You aren't that retarded... but nevertheless, you often demonstrate a very rudimentary understanding of political terms and concepts. To us, it is the BEAST.

In order to show just how wrong Sava is, I'm just going to put this here from The Political Compass site:
See the Voluntary Regional Collectivism thing there in the bottom left...“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

i think some of the confusion in the test may come from the difference between free and regulated markets. no state would necessarily mean no regulation, at least of the kind we see now, so you wouldn't have regulated professions for example; yet this kind of thing is also advocated by a certain kind of economic liberal (in the classical sense). so there is some crossover between right-wing economic ideas and (most types of) anarchism, even if it is quite superficial, because the basis is completely different."The Christian way has not been tried and found wanting, it has been found to be hard and left untried" - GK Chesterton.

The question is whether the average Texan is more enamored of a reduced federal budget or of state sponsored murder - BK evidently favors the latterScouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.
