What do any of you think about cities requiring their police officers to wear a personal camera on them?

I think it's a win-win solution. It can make the police officer's job more safe (as in, would-be attackers may be less likely to attack if they see there's a camera), and it would protect police officers from false allegations of police brutality or of excessive force.

And on flip side, this will also protect civilians or suspects from actual police brutality, as the camera will deter police officers from using unnecessary, excessive force.

Or we could go with the alternative hypothesis that a six-year veteran of the police force didn't just have an itchy trigger finger (subsequently injuring himself as a cover), rather, the guy who is per videotaped evidence a violent criminal actually committed a violent crime just like the cops are saying he did.

I think I saw the stats. Black men are 6x as likely to be shot by another black man than by a white man.
