I really do not get what Ben gains out of this besides contrarianism. It has been Remembrance Day since the early 1930s because that is a more inconclusive name honoring all those who served in all wars, not just the First World War. For 80 freaking years now it has been Remembrance Day! Likely there were actual veterans of the First World War in the Canadian government then who voted for the change in nomenclature.

Why would he even give a ****? How is it his fight and what does he gain?

Ben is so used to losing that he actually seeks it out.

So that explains why he continues to play fantasy football...

The day is the 11th of November and celebrates the Armistice. I'm not sure why calling it 'Armistice Day' excludes veterans of later wars. If you go to the cenotaph in my home town - you'll see all the vets who have died in both the first and second world wars inscribed on the pillar.

Second world war vets aren't excluded.

I disagree with the rationale behind the change. It's armistice day, and calling it such isn't excluding veterans of later wars.

Why would he even give a ****? How is it his fight and what does he gain?
I'm a history teacher, Albert. I think calling it armistice day is cool and 'remembrance day' is lame.

Especially, and you have to keep this in mind, Albert, they usually recite, "In Flanders Fields".

If you're going to continue to live in the United States you're going to have to start calling November 11 'Veteran's Day'.

When it changes to a day other than Armistice Day, I will.

How will you answer when it's one of the questions on your naturalization test?

Canada should change its national day to the day that British army full of Canadians sacked Washington in the war of 1812. That'll teach em!

Every practice one I've taken I've scored 100 percent. I'm not concerned about the naturalization test.
