Please explain to me why:

1, anyone even remotely associated with the McDaniel campaign would have anything to do with Thad's wife, and

2, why this would possibly help McDaniel.

The entire point here is that the campaign operation wasn't very well run. Can you imagine either of the events described in this thread (the nursing home break in and being caught alone in a courthouse where ballots were being kept) happening in a more high profile campaign? It also takes an amazing level of paranoia to view all of this as a false flag operation to tar the McDaniel campaign. Cochran simply misread the mood of the state and assumed he'd simply walk to the nomination rather than having to fight for it. That's hardly the mark of a campaign capable of pulling the type of Frank Underwood style maneuvers you suggest.

I still see no evidence that the blogger had any connection with McDaniel. Who benefits from the news? Cochran. Who broke the story? Cochran. Cochran had a significant financial advantage (11:1), and the RNC didn't send anything to McDaniel. So yes, it is possible.

I haven't seen a stage production of Pygmalion and I don't have a history degree. But then given your numerous egregious errors in the field of history, you may as well not have one either.
