  • Where would you go?

Let's say you want to burn money for YOURSELF and go on a trip and feck all.

    Here's what I'm thinking.

    Esthonia.
It is terra incognita, it's on the edge of the world, it's dirt cheap, the girls are allegendly easy on the eyes and you'll just walk around eating whetever it is they are eating there and looking at monuments and singing greek songs in a hushed voice on the streets and smiling to girls.

    Paris.
All time favorite. You'll jsut walk next to the seine eating a bageutte and looking at the gravures and just walk around talking french to french people and going to concerts and trying not to be scared to enter the metro at night

    London.
I'd be fecked if I know what to do there. Enter a double decked bus? Going to pubs?
yack. cold. I don't want to.

    Brussels
That's the best. But it has become a place of work. What to do there? atomium, grande place, blaaah

    Prague.
this is supposed to be a little jewel but chezs have gotten the reputation to be ******.
i'm not going there. might as well go to romania and be eaten by dracula

    constantinople.
    that is actually good
i'll walk down the bosphorus, visit agia sophia, go to a teke a tavern and drink some raki with the turkish tenants
go to taxim square (or is that in egypt)oh. top kapi. go there yes.

    Oh the best!
    go to scotland!
    first they have good beer.
second i think i can see the northern selas from there (where the sky fills with colors?)
it sounds cozy and if my ass gets beaten by the stinging cold all the better

To see the northern lights in Scotland you need to go hundreds of miles north of where tourists usually go. However the scenery is stunning and they have some of the world's best beaches (and they're nearly empty).

Just be aware that if you go to the west coast in JUly/August, you'll be eaten alive by midges.

I'd either wander around aimlessly in Australia's outback, or else I'd wander around aimlessly in Canada's northwest territory

London, Paris, and Rome would be my first choices

Israel would be high on the list

Always wanted to see an Opera in Manaus

Wouldn't mind hanging out on the beach in Saipan where Dad stormed the beached 70 years ago

Would love to roam around Oz with some old Poly friends.

I think it would be very hard to choose where to go if money wasn't an object. It is such an interesting world we live in and so very much to see.

seeing as a ticket (And back) to edinburg is 520 euros now and one to london is only 200, can i go to london and then take a train to edinburg?
anyone know if it's expensive and how much time it takes?
(it will be on time though i guess )

            edit: i see it's only 51 pounds...

see that's the easy and NICE AND FINANCIALLY feasable way of travelling.

No expensive ****s restaurants bull****s and all that.

            I'm gonna do it

ok and time is 5 hours 43 minutes. a nice nap.

and there's even virgin company trains that do the trip with 20 pounds.

            -
now for hotel and somehow to get to the northern lights.

hm... it gets difficult from edinburgh to wick and then john o groats. this needs more planning

I'd rather wander around aimlessly in Japan. Or maybe Vienna.
No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

                    What about Donetsk?

But if you want a serious answer, pick Tsargrad or Estonia.

I've done the OP except for Estonia.

If I wanted to spend lots of money, I wouldn't go on a trip.

Plus, I have nobody to travel with.

And I won't go by myself... like some LOSER!

I'd probably go to Vancouver, Toronto, LA, Denver... or a nice sunny beach.

My destination needs to have either marijuana, hockey, or attractive women. The existence of all three is preferable.
