I'm a little disturbed by the reaction to this. On the news, it was presented in a laughing manner.

He's a judge. How is he not disbarred for assaulting an attorney? I cannot see any way that he can still serve in that capacity. He's mentally unfit to be a judge.

State judges usually don't have to be members of the bar in the first place so it's possible he can't be disbarred for that reason. In fact the requirements to be a state judge are often pretty low, and their quality tends to be really questionable where they're elected.

Judges don't generally serve at the pleasure; they have to be impeached.

WRT to face punching... I wouldn't start with public defenders. I'd start with corporate lawyers... the lowest of the low.
