I feel compelled to point out that this same leap of logic could be used to label all occupy protesters as mass murderers. Have I picketed clinics? Yes. But I don't see how one goes from peaceful protest to acts of violence. There's an important distinction. One of these is actually constitutionally protected speech (at least in America). If Americans have the right to picket Monsato, then they also have a right to picket abortion clinics too.

A comparable group is children. We restrict their rights like crazy. Talk to OzzyKP if you want the full rundown on how. In both cases, the only real answer as far as I'm concerned is more accurate evaluation. Some individuals, due to age or mental illness (or other factors), are unable to lead normal lives without endangering themselves or others. If that's the case, and we can accurately determine when it is so, then the state should intervene to remedy that. (If you consider the implications of what I just said, you might think me quite crazy; you are correct.) Note, however, that I am not in favor of restricting freedoms. I am in favor of helping people to become productive members of society.
