Faulty logic. You can't calculate odds without a thorough psych evaluation to determine which severe mental illness they are technically suffering from. It's bound to skew the numbers.
Btw, I was essentially right. Looking only at the population of people with schizophrenia, for example (1% in the US), the odds of one of them committing mass murder in a given year are about .0006%. The odds of you (a random UKer) murdering someone close to you in a given year are about .00067%.

Well if we're suddenly going to get all serious about it, it's probably also worth pointing out that you've just taken a small subsection of severe mental illnesses there. Why would we assume that BK or Kid are schizophrenic, when there are numerous other severe mental illnesses they could be suffering from? That also only considers diagnosed rates of schizophrenia which is deeply unreliable given how poor your mental health system is.

Why don't you make a list of everything you consider to be a "severe mental illness" and get back to us, kk

Sorry, I'm too busy with other things right now. Please take a ticket and wait in the foyer with our charming receptionist Candice, and I'll be with you as soon as this **** wears off.

Schizophrenics (the paranoid kind, specifically) are the group of mentally ill individuals most likely to be violent toward other people. There also aren't a lot of schizophrenics out there. If we assume they are underdiagnosed (good assumption) or that a different, larger group of mentally ill people is most often responsible for mass murder (not necessarily a good assumption), then the chance of any individual person in our target group committing mass murder goes down. This only makes it look worse for you, you (potential) murderer.

Okay. So you just pretend to be not-another-******.

Considering we already saw those figures earlier which seem to show that around 10% of murders are committed by severely mentally ill people who account for 6% of the population, then it's not really useful to only focus on the actions of just schizophrenics who only account for 1% of the population.
