Dunno if that will come through or not; if not, it's a link noting that August 2014 will have five Fridays, five Saturdays, and five Sundays, and that this only happens once in centuries, the Chinese call it something stereotypically-Chinese, Feng Shui says pass it on, etc.

Clever readers looking at the lineup will say, "no, that should happen pretty much any time a full-sized month starts on a Friday." Quick look through my PC's calendar says that last happened March of last year. The friend who shared this is not a stupid person. Not a genius, but not stupid. WHY DO PEOPLE SHARE THIS IDIOCY?!

There isn't. But it feels less gauche to mock it behind his back, even though it technically could be considered worse. There needs to be a FB group called "This Meme is Horse****," so we could all just Share a whiny debunking instead of the original.

This is a kind of thing for me. I'm easily able to laugh it off because it's so harmless. I only feel compelled to respond to FB idiocy when it's about something that could possibly be important. Unless it's politics. I don't do politics on FB.

Probably the same one. Been making the rounds. And my "this is stupid" share only scratched the surface of the multilayered stupidity it had to offer. I read a very thorough debunking months later. Haven't seen the damn thing since, but I assume it's because everyone had already seen it, not because they collectively slapped their heads and said, "Oh yeah! This is moronic gibberish!"
