I'm actually a poster who favors stricter moderation of the OT, Lancer. When I was first made a moderator back in 2009, I tried my damndest to encourage a more civil atmosphere at Poly. But I didn't do it by constantly complaining about how things used to be better in the good old days before people changed. Why? Because that kind of behavior is exactly the kind of behavior I didn't want at Poly. It's when our posts are invariably personal that things become ugly here. Then people take it personally and feelings get hurt and regrettable words get tossed around. The way to make a better Poly is to encourage lively discussion, discussion not tinged with personal vendettas and old grudges. Stop making things so personal, and Poly will stop being so ugly.

I'm not complaining, I'm telling you. Don't mistake a single person disagreeing with a majority as complaining. Sometimes one just has to stand up and say enough. If one happens to say it in a whore house, prison, or Apolyton e v e r y o n e will vehemently oppose. If you take this majority as moral superiority you will reach the decision you've reached.

I'm really serious about how you're unhealthily obsessed with the past, Lancer. You know, you often bring up how you found Jesus and became a Christian and all that. Well you know what Jesus was about? Forgiveness. Wiping the slate clean. Original sin tainted humanity, but Christ's sacrifice gave humanity a second chance. Seriously, the defining message of Christianity is that you can't harp on the past; you have to forgive people and love them as you love yourself.

I'm not embarrassed, and I have few problems, and I do listen to Nik, but not always. Sometimes one just has to fight for beliefs and right.

If you complain about whores in a whorehouse (one might wonder why you're in a whorehouse, but nevermind), you're still complaining. Even if you're right about why Poly is such a horrible place, you're still complaining about what a horrible place it is.

I do forgive people. One of the foundations of forgiveness is the understanding of the need to be forgiven. I'm not a mushy, its all good Christian. I was raised by atheists and taught about Christ by a woman who was tough as nails and mean as hell. She described herself as a "warrior for Christ", and she was. So don't expect a wallflower from me, I'm not that.

There is a second chance through Christ, but one has to take it.
