  • Limited Liscense systems are the dumbest systems at regulation.

They concentrate market power into the hands of few who are shrewd enough to have an initial competitive advantage. This eventually develops into a cartel situation where the consumer is harmed.
They create an incentive to licensees to lobby they political establishment to never expand the licenses available
It creates corruption related to the license acquisition process

    Pot.
    Taxis.

    Bam!

What about limited license plates in the big cities in China to curb pollution?

Corruption might be worse than pollution caused by cars acquired through nefarious corrupted means.

R u trying to make extra money through Uber or something? I guess you would put commercial fishing licenses/quotas in here too.

It's more about the impact of i-502 on washington while surreptitiously about uber in Seattle

Legalization is being ****ed over by twisted legislation. Marijuana does not need to be heavily regulated. Sell it the same way you would tobacco and move on.

Corruption is generally not the problem, people taking advantage of the system is, getting the license with no intent of using it, just to sell for a profit.

But the big cities in China have the same issue with all limited resources (land, etc,).

It's impossible for it to become harder to get than when it's criminalized. The problem is that the legalization process is not following the distributivist social teachings of the Catholic Church.
