The Pope was just adjusting his chewing gum, perhaps seasoning it.

There is nothing in The Bible, or the Quran for that matter, that forbids picking and eating boogers. Not even in Leviticus!

I remember back when a time that the average American Protestant believed that Roman Catholics worshipped the Pope, not God or Christ. One day at school, after I moved to Virginia from New York, a bunch of us were waiting for an after school meeting about forming a school choir I got into a debate with some fellow 4th graders about whether Catholics could actually be classified as Christians or not. I offered that infalliility or not the Pope was just a leader, not a divinity. I trumped my argument by offering personal knowledge about actual Roman Catholics from my many years living in upstate New York. As the heat of the argument abated, being a youthful a*****e who could not resist getting the last word in I quipped soemthing to the effect of "good thing we weren't talking about my Jewish friends. I might as well have announced that I knew that black men ( a different word would have been used in thse days) who were their Mother's boyfriends for the effect it had on the crowd. Boys turned red in the face and began chasing me around the schoolyard. I showed them that it was difficult to grab hold of someone who really didn't want to be grabbed. About that time some adults fortunately showed up. Choir was cancelled because school officials feared the legal wrath of Liberuhls. They's trouble makers afoot.

Yes but there is nothing that allows it, except now for Catholics we have papal inspiration and example, covert but okay it seems

I seem to remember a discussion about whether it was kosher to have belly dancers performing in a restaurant, because there might be a risk of diners ingesting sweat droplets flying off the dancers' bodies (this was in a documentary...).
