Otherwise, we'd have our first sign of the zombiepocalypse.“It is no use trying to 'see through' first principles. If you see through everything, then everything is transparent. But a wholly transparent world is an invisible world. To 'see through' all things is the same as not to see.â€

What makes birth control a "routine expense"? What other commonly prescribed medications are "routine expenses" and should not be covered? What about childhood vaccines? Can't get any more routine than childhood vaccines."My nation is the world, and my religion is to do good." --Thomas Paine

By the way, just because I don't have sex with woman (reproductive or otherwise) doesn't mean that I'm uninterested in human rights, contraception, birth control information, or population growth and poverty- to name just a few related issues.

As usual, you would be wrong (on people not being vaccinated against it). I, for instance, am."The DPRK is still in a state of war with the U.S. It's called a black out." - Che explaining why orbital nightime pictures of NK show few lights. Seriously.

I thought the only known samples of variola left were in two vaults in the U.S. and Russia or something. Are those two labs actually churning out vaccines?
Anyway, plenty of meds are routine expenses. The montelukast I take to keep from hacking and wheezing at night, for example. As for birth control, even if you rule out all the non-contraceptive uses like PCOS, it sounds unreasonable to insist that people just cross their legs if they don't want to pay for it. We're not just talking about stereotypical notions of slutty sorority sisters here; plenty of faithfully married women with kids use the stuff. Not everyone's into condoms and natural family planning (or whatever you call it--it's actually pretty complicated stuff). Sleeping in bed with someone you love and not having sex with them doesn't sound like a particularly palatable, or even viable, course of action. I'm comfortable paying a little more to keep people from having unwanted kids. Or divorcing. Or aborting.
