Rookie Vikings punter Jeff Locke makes 1/3rd of what Kluwe, who had knee surgery last year, was scheduled to make. That's a fair point.

Is Ben going to support Kluwe's right to free speech?
Did the Vikings fire him for violating a morals clause? No. Not relevant in this case here. It's a performance issue. The Vikings are free to hire and fire whomever they want if they feel they have other players who play better. Unless you believe players can sue the NFL for getting cut, i don't see what else could be done here.

Do people at gay-rights rallies say, "OMG, that's the punter for the Vikings" and make a big deal out of it? You'd think this dude would be pretty invisible.
        Do you even football, bro?

He gets paid low NFL-level wages to kick the ball down the field after his team doesn't score a goal.
Some punters are kickoff specialists, as well. The Saints' Thomas Morstead, Bucs' Michael Koenen, Colts' Pat McAfee, Lions' Sam Martin, and Packers' Tim Masthay do both.

Elok doesn't football, I was trying to keep it as simple as possible.

Quite agree with Elok - all you need to play amreican "football" is a couple of guys that can imitate roadrunners while making funny leg movements, a guy that can thow things and a lot of big fat guys without too many braincells oh, and then a kicker - here is where the teams can save money - hire women - some of them are pretty good at kicking balls and they are ususally cheaper

**** this guy and his lazy leg, whatever his job is. Propose all punters, FG-kickers, snappers, etc. in the NFL be forcibly buried under at least 600 lbs. of unprocessed pig fat four times each game, to make sure they get the proper NFL player experience.

Fractured jaw, cracked vertebrae is what happens when punters are hit:

They don't need the pig fat.

He probably only started agitating for gay marriage to remind people he exists. Then he found out he couldn't stop talking about it. He couldn't help himself, he started chatting up the other players about gay stuff in the locker room while they were all naked, weirded out the whole damn team. They had to sack him before he started a riot.

Anyway, fire all punters and replace them with compressed-air cannons, which can do the same exact job cheaper, more reliably, and without assuming anyone cares about their opinion. While this will drive away the NFL's three die-hard punting fanatics, the addition of air compressors will attract NASCAR fans so it balances out.

Considering thar large number of female handball players that become lesbian, it's only reasonabe that a similar nimber of NFL players become gay.

I wouldn't go that far, because that's pretty much a recipe for sexual harassment/assault lawsuits right there. I do recommend, however, that pay be based on statistically-determined "Fatty-hazard" rates, expressed in average lard-Newtons absorbed per game; hence QBs get lots of pay because they're always facing that whole line of dudes trying to get at them, while the kickers get little. Perhaps the relatively little guys (I think they're called runningbacks or something) should get more as well. It's only fair.

We still don't know if punters are gay or if they are just obsessed with gay rights to MrFun level.

Offensive linemen are on average the smartest players on the field.
