    1. **** the ex. Move on. Said it back in August and you gave me **** about it.

    2. Have fun in Maryland. This is a chance for you to set right what you didn't do right the first time. I know the feeling. I had to go back at 24 to finish up my schooling that I ****ed up from before.

    3. Good luck Lori!

It's obvious you're bipolar, you haven't had sex in SIX MONTHS and you have submitted a short story to Isaac Asimov.

The magazine, not the man. I'm not quite that crazy.

With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

Thanks Blackcat. I was going to be a bit more specific but figured it would be too obscure. One of my favorites.

                  DiffEq final passed.

Now I just have to figure out how I'm going to pay for this whole college thing.

I've been considering that. I can talk all about how bad depression can be, how I've been in and out of treatment for the last 40 years, how I've committed suicide several times, etc.

How much exercise are you getting ? I realize that it's winter time, but what about local swimming pools or gyms ? Even brisk walks help.

Also- a change of scenery- try getting away for a day or even a weekend- doesn't even have to be somewhere sunny, but a place with great views, a dramatic vista, it all helps- and if you don't believe me, ask the 18th/19th Century Romantic Movement - they believed in the redemptive and uplifting power of landscape.

Oh and something I find helps- listening to gloomy or sad music- the more sepulchral and mournful the better. For me it's like a vaccination or inoculation. I'd be happy to recommend some things, as I've had one or two bouts of clinical depression in the past myself and know just how joyless, grey and drained of purpose the days and weeks become.
