Republicans ruin the economy. Democrats fix it. This has been the case for 25 years.

Kentonio why are you cheerleading for Obama? Why not do it for David Cameron for a change?

Changes in the unemployment rate tend to lag behind changes in GDP while stock prices rise in anticipation of future GDP growth so it's not really fair to attack a president because stocks are rising while unemployment is still high.

As for the economic 'recovery', Obama's doubled the size of the US debt.

Another quality Poly thread. All you are missing is Ben.

That's not what I said. We're talking about self reflection here not admitting when they were wrong (though, yes, Dems do that a hell of a lot more than Repubs even when they're not wrong) and, sadly, Dems seem very much inclined to lots of hand-ringing and months & months of self reflection along with internal debate before they're ever able to do anything. That is both a strength and a weakness especially when fast decisions have to be made. Republicans however truly are extremely dogmatic and nothing, I mean absolutely nothing, which doesn't fit their dogmatic ideology is allowed to be looked at or considered. Just pointing out that their ideological world view isn't correct in all cases is enough to have someone labeled a RINO and kicked out of the party via a primary challenger.

If you ignore that then you're missing a massive difference between the two American political parties.

If Democrats are so into introspection - why aren't they concerned about America having fewer abortion restrictions than most european countries?

Just think how much higher the stock markets could have been be if Obama weren't putting the brakes on. Could have topped Clinton and Reagan. As is it only beats Bush II.

The recovery has been under way for ~4 years. When does the attack become fair?

He's laughing maniacally as the American people suffer because he's still bitter about their impudent rebellion against the King.

And he loves it when Americans struggle with Obama's convoluted Rube Goldberg machine for a healthcare system while he has the NHS.
