Honestly though, how can you live with such small maps?
This is the last city I was building with SC4, just compare that with your little town that has covered almost all of the map already.

I'm more and more convinced the small city sizes are what make the game good (Sort of how the small squad sizes in the new Xcom helped in some ways). Every city feels cramped, which makes all your decisions much more important, and all tradeoffs much more acute. There would be no challenge if the maps were bigger. Plus the simulation wouldn't function. Glassbox only works (and is only comprehensible, from the players' perspective) because the agents have a relatively limited amount of room to mess around in.Comment
