I always use 'they' in that context. The only time I use 'he' is in a legal context and the 'he' is explicitly stated as possibly meaning 'she' anyway.

Basically instead of trying to get them to change the DHCP of their routers to assign an address range all by themselves, i use chrome remote desktop to hop on their computer, change their router setting and go from there. Its far easier to change 5 IP assignment ranges for individual users at home than change our entire IP scheme in office, at least until we change over to IPv6. But the fact that someone doesnt even know about google chrome...what the ****.

Actually going back to the original topic of the thread, I've never been in an office where there was any real impetus to switch to IPv6. Smart money has it that IPv4 is here to stay and tunneling will be the way of the future, so whatever. Plus NATs can actually be handy in places as a kind of cheap hack firewall.

The impetus really is about VPN. We currently use 192.168.1.1 as our address scheme but this causes obvious problems when you're directing a phone to connect to a specific IP in that range and it looks solely at your home network range, rather than going out to the corporate network. Its a real pain in the ass to track down all explicit IP references right now so this is the kluge in meantime.

Okay yeah that makes more sense; IPv6 makes vpn way ****ing easier. IPSec ftw (if you can afford the hardware...last I remember it was still in the 5 digit range).
