Is anyone else having trouble dispatching council requests? I had a couple countries request a satellite, I build one and try to hit the dispatch button, and nothing happens.

Infuriatingly, slingshot seems to cancel if you don't hit the battleship RIGHT AWAY which is massive bull****, although the train mission is way easier if you have a single person with the mimetic skin gene mod, since you can hit the switches without being seen and killing the aliens isn't a requirement.

It doesn't matter anyway since they can have their own damn standards in XCOM, or not have them, use your imagination.

Son of a whore, I apparently got real bad at this game in the last few months, since I can't make it out of the second month without a squad wipe.

The new council mission where, I assume, the EXALT story starts is ****ing my **** up.

Solution: stop playing ironman and load from just before you start the mission when you get a squad wipe. It makes the game more enjoyable.

Also the EXALT story does not start with the whale mission. You can skip that without much consequence but you get an achievement. If you're having trouble just ignore it.

If you're talking about the Paris convoy thingy, that's part of Progeny which is a Slingshot-like DLC but with more meh rewards and it finishes way later (in my game anyway). Again it's optional. The other two missions are sort of cool.
