Time is on Obama's side. By next year, he'll only have himself to blame if Republicans get any traction on this. Most likely, the website gets fixed. People get put on plans. The issues will be minor.

So even if the system still is struggling, I don't see how they will possibly benefit. Everyone who is hating on Obama will still hate him. While what you say is true, it is the GOP that is driving the narrative on this (thanks in no small part due to the complete incompetence of the website), and the drivers of the narrative are the ones who win the debate.
The website will get fixed, people will get their plans... but will anyone still care?
