An IP ban would be cheaper but why lose all the comedic value which is Ben? After all we do have an ignore feature for people who wish to use it though I wouldn't be adverse to chipping in if Plump wanted to upgrade the forum software to include the new optional expansion to the ignore feature which ignores posters even if other people quote them.

None of this changes the point about holding on by his dick hairs. Whether he campaigned well is irrelevant. The point is that he was re-elected by the smallest margin in a long long time. Just imagine if details about Benghazi had come out sooner, or if we had heard about the NSA leaking just a few months earlier. He would have been completely toast.

The NSA stuff might have tipped the balance but the only people who gave a **** about Benghazi were the same stupid ****s who voted for Mr 47% anyway.

51%-47% incidentally is not 'the smallest margin'. There have been 13 presidential elections where the winner won by a smaller % margin of the popular vote, including JFK, Nixon, George W Bush, Carter and Wilson. On EV he outperformed no less than 20 previous presidents including Abraham Lincoln, Truman and of course all those named above.

The only way this was the 'smallest margin' is if you're a partisan hack.

Romney's loss did not represent the decline of the Republican party. It wasn't the end of the Democratic party when in 1984, Walter Mondale lost in a huge ****ing landslide, and the Democrats were left with control of the House of Representatives while Republicans held the Senate and White House.

The Republicans current problems have nothing to do with Romneys loss, rather Romneys loss (or more precisely his nomination and subsequent campaign) is a symptom of the problems in the modern GOP. They've gone completely off the damn rails and they're following a political strategy that more closely resembles a suicide note than a political manifesto.

The GOP probably isn't going to die (although it wouldn't be a giant surprise if someone ends up having to completely reshape it), but it's currently on a nosedive of unprecedented proportions. You can't poll the way the GOP is currently and expect to win anything. If the 2014 elections were tomorrow then they lose the house. Obviously there's enough time to prevent that if they get their **** together, but it's going to take some real work between now and then to stop them losing seats in the house at least.
