I had no trouble understanding what you meant.

But it seemed you were so intent on pointing out that it was the Obama administration that ordered the parks to shut down, as if we're suppose to be outraged that the executive branch is carrying out one of its obligations.

      Nice job retards.

ummm... guys, I'm not sure if Sava knows what gerrymandering is or what it means for the make-up of the House.

      • Gerrymandering pretty much guarantees that more and more extremist ideologues will be able to win and keep their seats in the House, regardless of what their actions and behavior are. There's no negative consequences for any of those representatives' behavior and actions anymore.

Majority rule and fair democratic governance be damned.

You vastly overestimate the number of districts that are solidly for a specific party due to gerrymandering. 2010 didn't usher in a new wave of Republican domination in the House.

The Senate didn't pass a budget for four years in part to **** over the Republicans and prevent them from reducing government spending after they took back the House in 2010. Did it ever occur to you that maybe part of the reason there are some many crazy Republicans in the House now is that the base was pissed the ***** moderate Republicans couldn't get a damn thing done in the face of Senate obstructionism, and that part of the reason the crazies are happy to use government shutdowns and the debt ceiling as bargaining chips is that they got used to doing so when that was previously the only way to force the Senate and White House to agree to spending cuts?

Of course, I've already forgotten all the petty bull**** the GOP pulled the last time they controlled Congress, which might be an excuse for the recent petty bull**** by the Dems that gave birth to Ted Cruz and Co. What a ****ing cesspool.

              • Sava is right about gerrymandering not being all powerful, but wrong about this showdown hurting the House Republicans in 2014. They're giving their base exactly what they want, sadly, just as the Senate Dems and White House are.

No, I did not steal that from somebody on Something Awful.

Was on the air 3 or 4 years too many.

Exactly. The House is not going to change much, unfortunately because of gerrymandering.

Yep, it will stay in GOP hands, but that says nothing about Tea Bagger-type Republican House members' integrity and ethics.

It says a lot though, about how fucked up gerrymandering is now.
