For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

Because he can't get a majority of the caucus to support it and would like to keep being Speaker I guess.Originally posted by kentonio View PostWhy exactly do you think that Boehner won't allow a straight up vote on a clean resolution?I make no bones about my moral support for [terrorist] organizations. - chegitz guevara

Republicans shouldn't be in favor of the shutdown. Big Pharma is all like, "Lori, please let us sell drugs to other countries!" and I'm all like, "Sweet, only a couple more seasons until Sam Waterston shows up!"Click here if you're having trouble sleeping.

I would still be interested in why you feel the delay and the removal of the Congressional exemption are unreasonable demands given the delays Obama himself (without Congress) has already instituted.Originally posted by kentonio View PostYes, saying that you won't do your damn job and keep the country running unless your political opponents let you try and wreck their (already passed) legislation is not ok. Don't try and make out as if this is about a delay, the Republicans have been quite open about their intentions to use every tactic possible to wreck the whole thing.I make no bones about my moral support for [terrorist] organizations. - chegitz guevara

Any demands for modifications of Obamacare are unreasonable in this setting. Obamacare already passed into law, was authorized by the Supreme Court and is right now being put into action. This is nothing more than (yet another) attempt to undermine it in any way possible, and you know that perfectly well.Originally posted by DinoDoc View PostI would still be interested in why you feel the delay and the removal of the Congressional exemption are unreasonable demands given the delays Obama himself (without Congress) has already instituted.

You and the GOP lost and it's time you manned up and took it like a man instead of this eternal crying and lashing out at innocent Americans who just want to get on with their jobs and pay their bills in peace.

Not really. I'm starting to see the appeal of a Let it Burn strategy. I'm simply curious why those are seen as unreasonable demands by posters such as Oerdin and Kentonio.Originally posted by Sava View PostYou seem fixated on this.I make no bones about my moral support for [terrorist] organizations. - chegitz guevara
