You're so full of it. It is 100% the Republicans fault for making completely unreasonable demands which they know, absolutely KNOW, has zero chance of passing. Plus the dip**** Republicans have been saying for the past half a year that it was their goal to shut down the government and some of them have even been saying it for the last three years! When they publicly go on talk radio and announce months in advance that their goal is to shut the government down then it is real hard to blame the other side especially when Republicans deliberately keep adding to their massive laundry list of unreasonable loony demands so that it just keeps getting bigger and bigger right up to the deadline. If they had any intention of compromising then their list of demands would be getting smaller not larger.Originally posted by DinoDoc View PostOr instead of whining like a ***** with the woe is me routine, you could recognize that it is the feckless leadership on both sides of the aisle that brought us to this point.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate.

Just listen to this clown and remember that virtually EVERY tea party Republican has been saying the exact same thing for the last three years. Especially in the last six months they've been saying they want to shut the government down so after publicly admitting their guilt it is going to be really hard for Republicans to now pretend it wasn't them who did this.

A 1 year delay in the individual mandate and the removal of the Obamacare exemption given to Congress are unreasonable demands? I would like to hear the explanation for that one given all the other delays and waivers Obama has already instituted himself via Executive Actions.Originally posted by Dinner View PostYou're so full of it. You mean the majority of American people who don't actually want Obamacare defunded? Those American people right?Originally posted by DinoDoc View PostThe will of the American people? The CR is a terrible time to fight that battle though rather than the debt ceiling where they have more leverage politically.

This is a hilarious exercise in FAIL by the Republicans. 72% of people disapprove of the shutdown, according to some random, meaningless poll I saw on CNN.

They may have just lost the House in 2014.

 Nice work you fucking idiots.

Republicans hate America. They know their party is dying and they want to take the whole country with them.To us, it is the BEAST.

Yes, saying that you won't do your damn job and keep the country running unless your political opponents let you try and wreck their (already passed) legislation is not ok. Don't try and make out as if this is about a delay, the Republicans have been quite open about their intentions to use every tactic possible to wreck the whole thing.Originally posted by DinoDoc View PostA 1 year delay in the individual mandate and the removal of the Obamacare exemption given to Congress are unreasonable demands? As for being better at handling the situation, I don't think you actually understand whats going on yet. The Republicans just shot themselves in the face. I know in your little head you think that Obama and the Dems are going to cave, but they really aren't. They have no reason to. The public blames the GOP, and the longer this goes on the more hurt it's going to do to the Republican party. The GOP are going to have to suck it up and take the hit on this one, and the longer they put it off the more its going to hurt when they do.

I believe I said that both sides were responsible.Originally posted by DinoDoc View PostYou live in Illinois so who really cares.

Or instead of whining like a ***** with the woe is me routine, you could recognize that it is the feckless leadership on both sides of the aisle that brought us to this point. Why the hell did they wait until now to start working on the CR (Why not a real budget done in proper order?)? It's like both sides wanted a crisis to campaign on.
I also believe that Illinois is still part of the US, regardless of your typical arrogant fantasy.
Not all Repugs are idiots. Outsiders won't change the party, only those in it can. It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple
