Davuluri grew up outside of the Syracuse area in Fayetteville, New York. She graduated with a degree in brain behavior and cognitive science at the University of Michigan. During her studies she was a regular on the dean’s list and won the Michigan Merit Award as well as recognition from the National Honor Society.
Davuluri won a $50,000 in scholarship and will serve as the spokesperson for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). Over the next year, she will travel about 20,000 miles a month on a nationwide speaking tour to increase awareness and promote women in science and technology.
