The AI in my game is teching up properly. Though, I'm only 100-150 years into this current game.To us, it is the BEAST.

That's refreshing. To us, it is the BEAST.

So... you are arguing against the privatization of education and health care?
Thanks for the immediate confirmation that is indeed the case."Just puttin on the foil" - Jeff Hanson

I mean, really, you walk right into proving my point and then say I'm not realistic."Just puttin on the foil" - Jeff Hanson

It is contentious in NA, which is why the US does not have a sane public system and Canada does not have a well functioning private system. A lot of it is ideological. reg is too common in the US (I won't pay for others' healthcare!). His diabolical twin is prevalent in Canada (I won't let you use private medical services!).
Different blends work most everywhere else in OECD countries.(\__/)

Here the private option basically offers additional services like private rooms, quicker consultant times etc. There is no desire on the part of the public sector to battle with the private because the public sector is working from a national budget, and the more people that the private sector can attract to use their services means more money left for those who stay public. Where exactly is the contentiousness in this?
In Canada proponents of public only healthcare hit the hysterical panic button over the possibility that the public system could be starved of cash and or talent by a well-functioning private system. They always site the US as an example and refuse to even look at European and other OECD models.
The best information I've seen in media came from American public broadcasters. Canadian media and politicians treat the issue like the proverbial third rail.(\__/)
