There are countless risks way beyond simply making the nations kids stupider. What happens when scientists need politicians to consider something like the threat of diseases evolving if those politicians don't accept that evolution exists?

You can develop a resistance to certain poisons by means of small doses. It isn't a great leap to transfer that ability to an entire species.

All they need to know is that the old pesticides aren't working, and new ones need to be found. They don't need to know why old vaccines don't work anymore, they just need to know that they don't.

This is why Separation of Church and State is so important. Believe what you want, but vote only on the evidence. That is a politician's responsibility.
