Actually they just need to break the law in 1 small way and if their beliefs attributed to that, it'd be enough to get the detained (at least in the UK)

Not like killing children is the only thing that get's people detained. Making the threats to people as the WBC does in combination their beliefs would easily get the members detained...after they were arrested.
