Bull****. For once, you're wrong. It's 105 f. right now. I could run, skip and go naked and it would still be very hot. The only thing saving me is that the humidity is only 26%.
    I prefer 105 to, say, -40. Easily.

It gets cold here. In Dallas it does. Not -40. I might go shopping for an air conditioned fedora.

Prince George's record low in April, is colder than Dallas' record low, ever. Prince George's warmest month (July), with highs of 70 and lows of 45 degrees is the same as Dallas in March. Dallas' winter is slightly colder than Prince George's summer.

Well tell me about the high, Ben. My real point is that it does get cold here and that the separation in the high and the low spanks Prince George, which it does.

              Prince George 98 to -58

              Dallas 115 to 1

Prince George's average high temp is lower than Dallas' average low temp.

              ACK!

You're saying that Prince George's spectrum is traditionally that wide? I doubt it, but again, with the humidity and wind here, -17 isn't necessary for it to be bone aching.

I'll tell you without even looking at it that the separation is greater in Prince George than in Dallas. Prince George's record high is 94. Prince George's record low is -58. Dallas it is 115 to -22. So 137 degrees vs 152 degrees.

Average high and low, is 49 degrees and 29 degrees in Prince George. For a swing of about 20 degrees. In Dallas, it's 77 and 57. The average low for the year in Dallas is 8 degrees higher than the average high in Prince George. Would you rather have an average of 39 degrees for the year or 67?

Yes, it's that wide and Dallas' low was 1 over the last 30 years.

Prince George doesn't get much precipitation (about 2/3rds that of Dallas), but it does get 85 inches of snow every year and snow from October to April. That's 7 months of the year.

Dallas is only about 300 miles from the coast. Prince George is a good 500 miles from the coast. Prince George is also at 1800 feet, which is about 400 feet higher than the Panhandle. So think, high elevation, relatively flat terrain, very cold and dry.

Better in some ways for sure. It seems like they actually care about using government as a tool to help people up there and actually do.

But theres a lot to not like about Canada - weather, food, culture, distance between places, and most of all canadian humor.
