I am sure they kill 10000 referees like this every year. :duh:

That there's a difference between a television show and mob violence. These people likely had families.

But you're right. They are foreigners, so...

What you fail to understand is that I am a cynical bastard.

You know the first thing that ran through my mind when I heard about Newtown last December? "Welp." Nothing surprises me anymore. Human beings are ****ing awful.

Something can be hilarious and tragic at the same time. If we weren't able to turn tragedy into comedy, this world wouldn't be worth living in. Everything would just suck.

But it requires judgement to determine what is and is not appropriate. Two people getting murdered at a sporting event isn't something to be cheerful about. Hell, I'd prefer an off-color joke to "WHOO! Furriners died! So metal! " At least there's an attempt at humor there.

The fact that they are foreign doesn't enter into the metalness of it.

It'd be just as metal if it happened in Iowa.

Well, maybe not Iowa, since Iowa is highly unmetal.

The playing of a soccer/football game in Iowa would be a shocking event in itself. People shouldn't lose their heads over sporting games.

Iowa metal may not be great, but it can be pretty extreme.
