Too bad for you. I have, and from an American. Aren't you pre-supposing that for some Americans the same thing might be called by a different name ?Vive la liberte. Noor Inayat Khan, Dachau.

Or vice versa.
I'll have a look in my dictionary of American slang. And yes, I really do have a dictionary of American slang. I collect dictionaries.Vive la liberte. Noor Inayat Khan, Dachau.

Yeah, I've heard that one many times with the name of different minorities substituted depending on who they were making fun of.
Never heard marine before. Thanks for the possible origin of it.It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

I'm reliably informed that in American slang a 'Texan shower' is one of those where when you awaken out of sweaty slumber after a day's hard work, you simply spritz with cheap deodorant spray and off to work you go. Not having vistied Texas, I'm unsure whether this is unfair calumny or not.
I'm quite sure I don't much care either way.

Used it fairly often.
Also applies to French people.
ACK!
Don't try to confuse the issue with half-truths and gorilla dust!

My friend confirmed your opinion a few years back after a trip to Paris and a sexual encounter or three. Odd for a country which produces great scents and perfumes.
Looked in my dictionary of American slang- publ. 1968- no mention of showers, marine, Texan, motel or otherwise. 'Marine' gets a mention (empty bottle of liquor) as does a lot of military slang which is only to be expected.Vive la liberte. Noor Inayat Khan, Dachau.
