I disagree, simply because there's no way even the dumbest Mountain-Dew-swilling fourteen-year-old CoD fanatic will miss out on the basic news that the camera must always be on. If nothing else, the connection with the camera will fail when somebody unplugs the wire by mistake, and they'll find out that way. From there, I predict it will be awfully easy to become squicked out when they realize that the machine is deliberately designed to listen to them screaming "Camping ******!" twenty times a game. Few groups are more self-conscious than teenagers.

Of course MS will draw the wrong conclusions, though. We're talking about the gang who gave us Windows 8.

The camera is not always on, and it is not sitting videoing everything you do. Xbox has already broken all pre-order records and the idea that it's not going to be huge is utterly and completely wrong.
