The problem here is that people find me more interesting than the story of seeming governmental overreach if the WaPo story I linked to earlier is to be believed simply because they find something objectionable about the person who made the thread. As healthy as it is for my ego to be the topic of discussion, it was neither my desire or intent for it to be that way.

Sure. Your intent was "THANKS OBAMA".

You do realize that GOP congress critters are largely high-fiving him over this?

Food for thought on who's position I might be advancing here:

I look at it from the other direction - I'd rather have Obama, the person whose politics I agree with the most be a totalitarian monster than have had either Romney or McCain with similar powers.

Maybe we should aspire to something more than a totalitarian President whose politics we find less odious.

            John Brown did nothing wrong.

Also, don't forget that 2001-2008 contained a Democratic Congress that was too pathetic and craven to do **** all to smother this **** in the crib.

There is plenty of blame to go around.

We don't have perfect candidates or parties, oh well.

They also have no reason to improve as they don't get punished by the electorate for this ****.

So since nobody perfect exists, we're going to settle for the guy who veers our way on petty wedge issues? Congratulations, you are exactly why we wind up with this sort of government. You and DD have a lot more in common than you might want to admit.

How do you punish candidates while not giving the office to someone really heinous.

I should have voted for a 3rd party instead of Obama...

                        Okay.

Why did they have to issue such a wide ranging request for data? Because #### you that's why!
Were you ever this concerned or upset with any possible similar violations done by Bush administration? No, because fuck you, that's why!

                                2006-2008, but the point remains.
