Sorry, if you're not willing to own up to being caught out, you get no sympathy from me for being ragged about it. It's not about partisanship (which to the extent I am forced to identify with a party, I'm largely with yours); it's about honesty.

At this point, watching you dig yourself deeper is the entertainment. To us, it is the BEAST.

Someone is not getting the memo. On the one hand Obama has declared that he plans to repeal the AUMF thus signalling the end of the 'war on terror' on the other hand the presumptive reason for the overly broad use of Verizon records is explictly a 'war on terror' action.

Beyond finding the interest in the issue of contrary post from ~7 years ago to be bizarre (I also copped to the contradiction in post 25), you misunderstand me if you think I care what the opinion people here hold of me might be. As of now it is merely curiosity over why someone would find me and my musings more interesting than the issue in the original post. I'm starting to wish I had asked someone else start a thread on this issue because other than giving me an ego boost because of how interesting I must be the thread has been largely devoid of meaningful discussion and another poster would likely have had a more productive reception.Originally posted by snoopy369 View PostSorry, if you're not willing to own up to being caught out, you get no sympathy from me for being ragged about it.I make no bones about my moral support for [terrorist] organizations. - chegitz guevara

Some related reporting on the software equivalent:
This is all confirmation of various stories that have been floating around for years, though the software version seems to have more actual data rather than just metadata. Adding Dropbox to the list is a big step, imo - though I guess that depends on exactly what MS and Apple have already given away."In the beginning was the Word. Then came the ******* word processor." -Dan Simmons, Hyperion

What I don't get is...what the hell kind of judge signs a warrant like this? What the ****?
About a month ago I was arguing with Kentonio over whether we should distrust the government as a whole or if "checks and balances" is enough and having an independent judiciary/checks and balances makes the concept of limited government irrelevant. I am resting my case here and claiming victory.
