Reasons why DD might care this time: 1) Is PRISM Going To Harm U.S. High-Tech Exports?

    2) We elected a President who wanted to be loved worldwide. So there's the amusement value as well.

For those who aspire to live in a high cost, high tax, big government place, our nation and the world offers plenty of options. Vermont, Canada and Venezuela all offer you the opportunity to live in the socialist, big government paradise you long for. –Senator Rubio

          1) Are you saying you care more about a potential loss of exports than a loss of (American) lives ?
          2) You had a president that was hated worldwide and he had a high amusement value.

The Tsarnaev brothers and the Fort Hood Shooter call into question the value of the spying dragnet and the one case the defenders have trotted out in defense is contradicted by public documents. So I've seen nothing to balance the scales of something even the person that wrote the Patriot Act says is an overreach of governmental power.

It's the best of both worlds. Prism isn't effective at stopping terrorism... AND it can be abused by the government

I'm sure DD's inconsistency is wildly amusing to those of you who keep score, but as a philosophy prof you really ought to know that ad hominem is considered a fallacy for a reason.

Besides, it's been a couple of pages. Even the funniest joke gets stale after a while.
