The city claims it's no more than annual but it's only been 8 months and they've called my name again for my annual jury summons. Obviously, I'm in Virginia so I can't do jury duty in Philadelphia but what the hell?

It's probably the same as it is here. It's because the random picking thing doesn't know you've done it before.

Yes, contact them and let them know. If you're lucky they'll screw it up and put a do not select indicator on your name without a expiration date on it. I assume that happened to me since I used to get called ever year or two like clockwork until they did it twice in one year. I called them, and I haven't been called since (knock on wood) It's been over 5 years.It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit.
