Everything I posted there is true and supported by the record. WRT no one caring: That question was settled on Election Day but is separate from the question of governmental accountability and more specifically if the public should care. No, I don't see this as something that will bring down the Obama Admin. It would be nothing more than a case of run of the mill governmental incompetence were it not for the body count attached to it.

Sign the petition to uncover the truth!
After 8 months, unanswered questions still remain concerning the Benghazi attack. This is reprehensible! I’m supporting the call for a special prosecutor to uncover the truth of what happened and to shine a light on those responsible for this tragedy.

Sign my petition if you agree!

Ah yes... accountability. Here's a relevant fact.

Number of congressional oversight hearings about deaths in the Iraq War: Zero

This is more a case of run of the mill hypocrisy.

Actually, HERE are the relevant facts:

January 22, 2002. Calcutta, India. Gunmen associated with Harkat-ul-Jihad al-Islami attack the U.S. Consulate. Five people are killed.

June 14, 2002. Karachi, Pakistan. Suicide bomber connected with al-Qaida attacks the U.S. Consulate, killing 12 and injuring 51.

October 12, 2002. Denpasar, Indonesia. U.S. diplomatic offices bombed as part of a string of “Bali Bombings.” No fatalities.

February 28, 2003. Islamabad, Pakistan. Several gunmen fire upon the U.S. Embassy. Two people are killed.

May 12, 2003. Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Armed al-Qaida terrorists storm the diplomatic compound killing 36 people including nine Americans. The assailants committed suicide by detonating a truck bomb.

July 30, 2004. Tashkent, Uzbekistan. A suicide bomber from the Islamic Movement of Uzbekistan attacks the U.S. Embassy, killing two people.

December 6, 2004. Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Al-Qaida terrorists storm the U.S. Consulate and occupy the perimeter wall. Nine people are killed.

March 2, 2006. Karachi, Pakistan again. Suicide bomber attacks the U.S. Consulate killing four people, including U.S. diplomat David Foy who was directly targeted by the attackers. (I wonder if Lindsey Graham or Fox News would even recognize the name “David Foy.” This is the third Karachi terrorist attack in four years on what’s considered American soil.)

September 12, 2006. Damascus, Syria. Four armed gunmen shouting “Allahu akbar” storm the U.S. Embassy using grenades, automatic weapons, a car bomb and a truck bomb. Four people are killed, 13 are wounded.

January 12, 2007. Athens, Greece. Members of a Greek terrorist group called the Revolutionary Struggle fire a rocket-propelled grenade at the U.S. Embassy. No fatalities.

March 18, 2008. Sana’a, Yemen. Members of the al-Qaida-linked Islamic Jihad of Yemen fire a mortar at the U.S. Embassy. The shot misses the embassy, but hits nearby school killing two.

July 9, 2008. Istanbul, Turkey. Four armed terrorists attack the U.S. Consulate. Six people are killed.

September 17, 2008. Sana’a, Yemen. Terrorists dressed as military officials attack the U.S. Embassy with an arsenal of weapons including RPGs and detonate two car bombs. Sixteen people are killed, including an American student and her husband (they had been married for three weeks when the attack occurred). This is the second attack on this embassy in seven months.
Where was your inquest after the Karachi attacks, Mr. Graham? Where were you after the Sana’a attacks, Mr. Hannity? What about all of the embassy attacks in Iraq that I didn’t even list here,…

Your larger point, of course, stands.

On the contrary, conservative hypocrisy is something I care about. I thank you for being a perfect example of it.

But this is even more absurd. Because in order to be hypocrisy, the Obama administration would have to do something like lie to the American people, which it didn't... and be responsible for American deaths, which it wasn't.

The partisan fishing expedition is entertaining.

I approve of the Republicans doing anything and everything they can to further marginalize themselves from the American political process.

You should try to coin a new phrase with a similar meaning to "lamestream", to proclaim how independent and mavericky you are.

The whole Benghazi thing amuses me somewhat. There are a _very_ small number of Republicans who believe it's a super-big-important issue/example of horrible things by the Administration, and they seem to believe that all of the other Republicans support them in that, which is most certainly not true. Unless there is evidence of some sort of massive coverup of details showing they knew about the attack and allowed it to happen for [some reason], no more than a few percent of Americans will ever truly care about this. Certainly not to the point of impeachment or whatever. On my facebook feed I have exactly one person - a fellow Texan - who posts several pictures a day related to the incident, sort of in Sloww's ballpark I guess; not even a really political person, a friend's mother in law who mostly posts pictures of wildlife.

My impression is this is a extreme-edge-conservative-media thing that's getting into the somewhat mainstream discussion because it seems like it can be used as evidence of Obama's incompetence. Basically like if the truthers got somebody to listen to them.

I have to say it's mostly frustrating to me, though, because I'm one of those people who believes that "American" comes before "Conservative" in my identity. Sure, I don't like that we elected Obama (though I didn't really love Romney either), and I'm not going to agree with most of his policies; but I'm an American, and he's the President, and I think that I should, by default, support him in his role. It's not dissimilar to the frustration I felt in 2002-2008, with the left acting similarly, except that I thought the Republican Party was supposed to be the 'patriotic' party - ie, all these Texans and Western folk and whatnot should be Patriotic Americans first second and third. I just don't get that vibe anymore.
