Here is a pic of the 8yr old boy being carried by rescue.
It's not graphic, but it shows that he may of died from internal injury.
Still sad though.

The fact the guy in the cap isn't watching the race and looks like he is a trance-like state also a worry, but you can't read too much into that. I just hope they get the perps soon.

This one is really ****ing with my head.
You can see the look of shock, pain and fear in his face.
My son is just a 3 years older than this little angel and I guess that's why it hurts me so.

I was at elementary school in CT when Challenger blew up. My first 'global event' memory.

My 4th grade class was watching that shuttle launch live on TV because our teacher, a very nice Japanese lady whom we tortured and eventually caused to quit, wanted us to see history in the making. It turned out to be more historic then she thought it would be. I remember other students asking what happened and she said maybe that was just the booster rockets separating when it was in fact bits of the shuttle flying off post explosion. The junior high school I went to was brand new and named Challenger in memory of the teacher who died in the accident.
