Did you just call Scott Sumner a "supply sider"?

His blog is called "the money illusion", you ****ing incompetent.

Krugman's blog is retarded. The man himself is very smart but is so pathologically dishonest that taking his blog seriously is for morons only.

By the way, I want to stress, I think he's a genius. His NYT blog however is crap.

Both sides are one marshmallow parties, but plutocrats are more influential in the Republican establishment and GOP pols consequently end up fighting on the side of good economic policy more often than their Democratic counterparts. There's no incentive to support rational taxation when your base is Sava, Oerdin, and MrFun.

I think it's actually that the greater focus on desert (a thoroughly ridiculous moral axiom, in my opinion) leads to greater respect for policies that improve incentives (in general; there are of course cases where you get led astray by that brand of thinking).

I'm not really sure what you mean by "greater focus on dessert" (or did you mean to spell it desert?).

Interesting point, although I'm skeptical that a significant percentage of the Republican establishment truly cares about dessert as anything more than a cynical means to motivate the base.

Mankiw needs his own radio program called "Mankiw in the Morning." I'd listen to it every day.

I have ice cream once a year on average. It's so good, but I have no self-control.
