The Army did so well with the "drive west through the desert while the Marines do the actual fighting" strategy in '91 that they decided to do it again in '03.

An Army National Guard tank unit could kick the **** out of USMC armor. Because the Army has better tank doctrine, more tank experience, and trains the USMC tanker crews anyway. USMC tankers don't practice tank on tank doctrine anyway; tanks are assigned on an individual basis to companies of infantrymen.

80,000 EPW and an estimated 100,000 enemy KIA and WIA says otherwise. Ask any survivors of IRG Tawakalna, Medina or Hammurabi what they think about playing with the US Army? What got out of the KTO alive was without heavy equipment and completely combat ineffective. The portion of the Iraqi army which remained was units which were not located in the KTO, or were positioned just at the FEBA and pulled back during the air campaign.

For that matter, how do I know that the other people I encounter are real and I'm not just a brain in a jar? I don't, but I believe they are sentient. I won't shed any tears if a non-sentient first trimester fetus gets terminated.

Not surprised you're more concerned with body counts than whether or not the mission was accomplished. That's the same thinking that just helped the Army lose two COIN campaigns.

Sentience is a philosophical construct, not a scientific or medical one.
