I don't agree, but after all, that's the best thing about living here.
Life is not measured by the number of breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

Rice's tragedy far outweighs your's. (It's not even remotely close.)

I was describing her views sarcastically. Rice was remarking that the fact that months have been spent on uncovering the source and reasons for acceptance of these talking points was a bigger tragedy than the incident itself.

"“There’s always confusion when you have a tragedy of that sort,” she said. “The bigger tragedy is that we’ve spent all of these months trying to figure out the origin of some talking points, which were cleared at the highest levels of the intelligence community, and in my opinion not enough time doing the service that we owe to our fallen colleagues.”

Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."--General Sir Charles James Napier

They were continued, and stepped up. The rollup and tracking of OBL's courier was done on Obama's watch, as was the CIA op (in an "allied" country) to get DNA samples to confirm. POTUS (regardless of party) doesn't "do" anything in a Rambo sense, but this op was not some routine patrol ordered by an O3 in the 'stan. It was a high political risk decision to send over two dozen highly trained personnel deep into an "allied" country without their authorization, on a mission that could have failed in any number of ways. It was also a decision that could have been rationalized away from, and the public wouldn't have known one way or the other. Carter took a chance and lost in Iran, Reagan screwed the pooch on a large scale in Beirut, Clinton screwed the pooch on a smaller scale in Somalia. There were plenty of reasons to back away from making a decision, but Obama authorized the raid and was willing to accept the fallout of failure. And we got the mother****er.
I agree...a highlight (or the highlight if you will ) of Obama's Presidentcy. All Americans should be proud of our military, intelligence agencies, and our Leadership for a job well done. Aptly put..."we got the mother****er"!

This to me is a great overview of how this administration looks at itself. They seem to believe that questioning their power is more of a problem than any of their decisions. It used to make me uncomfortable when people would insinuate that it was "un-American" to criticize Bush's decisions during war. Obama's administration has developed that technique to the maximum. Questioning his decisions is not only un-American, it is racist and a great tragedy.

Republican or Democrat...the next President needs to have the power of the office reigned in.

No wait, you meant that Republicans were AGAINST the illegal and wholly unnecessary invasion of Iraq where 4,487 US servicemen and women have been killed, and another 36,395 have been wounded - I'm betting many of those wish they were dead. Not counting suicides, break up of marriages etc...

Open your eyes to the facts, Jack - stop being so ****ing ignorant and hypocritically accusing others of being such...

Voting Republican risks American lives - it's a plain and simple fact...
Glad to see auto deaths are on the way down! Just wish that there was less gun control since areas with less gun control tend to have less violence.

As for the Iraq war...unnecessary? Maybe. Hard to argue at this point that it was a good decision whether necessary or not. The results stink in any event. Illegal? I will leave it to you to find in the archives the pages and pages of discussion on that point. In the end, there are clearly two different interpretations of the legality of that event. You have your opinion...I have mine. I have no problem with you having yours.

Now...in keeping with the tone of your post....

You are a ****ing moron! How could anyone be so stupid as to not see the truth! Wake up Jack! Democrats weakening of worldwide security costs millions of lives in the long run and endanger the very idea of democracy. If it weren't for Republicans coming in and cleaning things up every few years then the country probably would have fallen by now! It is unbelievable how ****ing stupid Democrats are! Pointing fingers without looking at root causes is incredably ****ing stupid!

Voting Democratic risks EVERYONEs lives - its just a plain and simple fact...

                        Better?

Republicans are basically pissed that an entire country's regime could be overthrown and replaced with a democracy without a single US military death (At the time. Maybe the subsequent Benghazi deaths should be treated as Obama's 'Mission Accomplished' casualties!? ).

In fact there was only one NATO casualty: A British airman killed in traffic accident in... wait for it... Italy!
Republicans are overjoyed that Libya was able to get a democratic government without loss of NATO life (except for the above mentioned British airman).

Republicans are pissed that noone in NATO looked at the history of Libya and the problems that the Italians had in forming a country from three seperate tribal regions, the fact that these tribal divisions were the basis of the revolution, and the fact that the violence between these tribes is escalating. Sadly, little thought was given to the "after war". A problem both Republican and Democratic administrations tend to ignore.

                          Back on topic...

It is clear that the administration is trying to change the debate about Benghazi from what actually happened and their failures into a debate about Congress, in its legal oversight authority, trying to get this information. This is, imo, the critical failing of Obama's reign. This administration will take no responsibility for its failures and in fact will vilify anyone who even questions it. That's the topic...and the truth.

Republicans annoyed that NATO didn't consider traditional local history? Seriously? When Iraq happened most of the administration didn't even understand that Sunni and Shi'a were branches of Islam, let alone the historical problems between them.

                              Don't confuse me with facts!

On a serious note...you are very correct. As I stated earlier, both Republican and Democratic administrations do a very poor job of looking at "after war". WRT Libya, I would doubt that there are 10 elected officials in Washington that even know that it was the Italians who tried to pull a country together in Libya. When I say "Republicans" were pissed about this, I guess I should say "those Republicans that actually think". Perhaps there may be some Democrats that actually think as well, but I don't recall anyone running against Obama in the primaries...so probably not.

They kind of want to ignore that the Bush 43 years ever happened (yeah, like that's going to happen) and that Obama has been a million times better in foreign policy that Bush 43.
