Not a single farmer has lost the family farm due to inheritance taxes in the last half century. As I recall one of the left leaning groups in the late 1990's (when Republicans were pushing to kill the estate tax over claims it hurt family farms) offered $1 million to anyone who could prove a single family farm was lost due to the estate tax and as yet, some 15 years or so later, no one has been able to do so. There is still an easy $1 million to be made if you can prove the estate tax hit a family farm.

A lot of Republicans are not racist, but a lot of racists are Republican.

Considering who buys Ram pickup trucks, what else are they supposed to do? Pander to teens, drug dealers, welfare recipients, moms, or hipsters? (Although hipsters might actually work ... driving Ram trucks ... ironically.)

Those listed are all people who are likely to think that commercial is awesome ... and all (generally) share in the values attributed in the commercial as being indicative of the "farmer within us all".

The only farm I've ever worked on is a sex farm, trying to raise some hard love.

Why? Trucks and smart cars are two sides of the same gay coin.

Had Ogie not mentioned GoDaddy, I would not have remembered what that ad was for. This is occasionally a good thing, because I've boycotted some products because of their crappy commercials.

                                For that to happen:
They do have to KNOW your product
They have to see that the it fills one of their needs
Understand that it is the best choice to fulfill their needs
And then have to take action or buy the product.

This is done with a combination of awareness building, brand image/perception, and information
Which of these three is the most important may vary, but all our key to the buying decision.

A commercial where you can't even remember the product is a total waste of money and effort.

Just curious as to what you thought the most effective commercials were? Any consensus around the office?
