I liked the 'Sympathy for the Devil' Mercedes spot.
I liked the 'Joe Montana stained shirt' for Tide.
I also liked the white-guy-rastaman spot for VW, but I'm told that's not allowed due to racial sensitivity issues.

A few made me laugh
A few made me cringe
I really didn't like all that many
I didn't see many that I would consider particularly effective

Yes, the commercials this year sucked. Though, I can't recall a year in recent memory when I thought SB commercials were good. I'm struggling to name even one in the last decade that blew me away... probably because they get replayed ad nauseum.
Also, DVR is the greatest invention EVAR!
Do ad companies and marketing departments take into account the timing of DVR fast forward functions? I use the 30 second skip forward a lot. A smart company would time things so that those split seconds in between skipping have enough things going on to make a Sava rewind. Like boobs or something.
I'm so jealous of European commercials.
