    Canada puts the wrong leaf on its new money.

    I found this funny. Canada recently issued some new versions of its dollar which includes a clear plastic Maple Leaf on it as an anti-counterfeiting measure; the problem is they got the leaf wrong and instead of a domestic species of maple they accidentally put a leaf of the Norwegian Maple on it which is actually an illegal invasive species in Canada. Opps.

    The Bank of Canada has defended the choice of maple leaf put on the country's new plastic money after claims the new notes have a foreign variety of leaf rather than a home grown one.

            I just saw an ad for some gold dollars, which were $50 but now are being knocked out at $9.99. You'd feel like a real chump if you had paid $50.

                Why? If you invested in gold in 2004 - you've done far better than anything else.
