  • Huston in Kafiristan.

    • No guesses? The movie was released in the mid '70s.

      • I don't know too much 70s cinema, sadly.

        • I've got a good one if someone will answer this one, I would be king with this one!

          ACK!
Don't try to confuse the issue with half-truths and gorilla dust!

                  • So the movie, that shall remain nameless, has the dialogue:
"They want to know if you are Gods"
"Not Gods: Englishmen. The next best thing." - a line I remember over 30 years later.

The actor who played Alfred (and Alfie) and the actor who was/is my favourite James Bond play the 'buddies' in this pic.

The same actor who played Baron von Trapp in the Sound of Music played Kipling in this pic. This movie was based on a Kipling short story.

John Huston directed, and the action took place in the imaginary nation of Kafiristan.

If you add the words in post #216 to post #217, you have the answer.

                    • Aha. Well, never seen it, but the answer is obvious now. Wouldn't have gotten it from the actors, but the title is right there.

The Man Who Would Be King.

Since Tubes obviously got it first, and his movie knowledge far exceeds my own, I shall defer to him for the next puzzle.

One has a Cruise and one has a "Cowboy", fmj.

                              • Since Guy knows the first, I'll concentrate on the second, "Cowboy's" high school aged brother is in jail for a crime he didn't commit.

This one is a real slam-hound.

fmj is the initials of the movie that the actor was called "Cowboy."
