        • Okay.

You could accurate describe one lead of this very famous, beloved movie as a nothing. A very large nothing.

It is also the first starring role (and second film role overall) for another extremely famous actor, who received an Academy Award nomination for his work in this movie. This second actor was also the star of another film mentioned in this thread.

This film was the directorial debut of one of the most well-known filmmakers of the last several decades. He also won an Academy Award for writing the screenplay.

                  • Two more wrong guesses.

This film, several decades old, became much more well-known about 12 years ago. It features one of the most famous musical scenes in the history of film.

                      • There it is. Final clue was going to be, "Don't be stupid, be a smarty, come and answer this obvious ****ing clue."

The "very large nothing" was a reference to star Zero Mostel.

This movie stars a fallen angel, but not the usual one.
