I'm just a college student and I eat meat with at least two and often three meals a day.

Breakfast: typically 2-3 scrambled eggs, very heavily buttered toast, 4 strips of bacon, sometimes sausages if I'm really hungry
Lunch: typically a sandwich of some kind, either peanut butter & jelly or ham & cheese
Dinner: varies but invariably involves some kind of meat or fish.

And nothing I eat is expensive at all. I'm pretty sure I spend a maximum of about $120/week on food, including when I eat at restaurants on campus out of laziness (those are somewhat pricier than cooking at home).

Much like me. I have a budget of ca 540 USD per month for food and drink.

I normally eat bread for breakfast, lunch and supper, varied meat, fish, eggs etc for dinner. Normally 3-4 meals a day.

Are there import tariffs on food in Norway? The US and Canada produce food for the entire world. Most, as in more than 50%, of all food exports worldwide are American. So food in general is very very cheap here.

I'm taking dayquil and nightquil now. Also, some anti-psychotics with some pro-psychotics to even me out.

No wonder that you take up so much space in pictures of you

Btw. can you confirm a rumor I've heard - you can't buy a whole cucumber in Norway.

Oh, and just so no misunderstandings :

Depends on where it comes from I think. We're part of EU's inner market, although not a member of the EU. I think some food are tariffs on, but mostly it works through subsidies on Norwegian made food. The farmers wouldn't be able to compete otherwise.

3-4 meals are the adviced amount of meals per day, some think you should eat even more often than that, only less.

As for the cucumber, I have never seen it for sale NOT whole.

Every country has farm subsidies, and every country has food tariffs. That's why food is so expensive in places. Subsidies aren't the reason we are a large food exporter; it's because of places like Iowa. We should get rid of tariffs and subsidies.
